Beyond Redemption

Rai's heart nearly stopped.
Sentenced to be destroyed...? He thought, taking a few blank-minded steps away. He looked up to the sky. Rain fell onto his face. He remained silent for a moment before he snapped back to himself. A look of grim determination was on his face.
"In the end, I'm dead both ways. But, I can't let Akumamitsukai be destroyed. Someone who fights along side me is a friend to me. No more friends are gonna die while I'm still alive." He clentched his fist and bared his teeth, and then ran off, Toma following behind.

After awhile trying to navigate through Gotei 13, Rai gave up and had Toma led the way to zanpakuto storage. Inside, there was a large amount of zanpakutos hung on what seemed like a limitless amount of aisles. Rai began to sweat as he looked down the aisle he was in.
"This is gonna suck." He said. Toma and Rai went down in each aisle to look for Akumamitsukai. Rai had lost count of how many swords he checked when Toma finally found it chained up on one shelf. She tried to remove the chains, but it was a complex bind. Rai's Shackle of Sin began to glow as he walked up and placed his hand on the grip. Almost in a trance, he closed his eye's and began to say under his breath:

"The Fallen Angel.
The one who brings judgement on the wicked.
One who banishes the purity from the heart.
In a darkness beyond twilight,
a brillance beyond dawn,
One shall be redeemed.
The Angel Slayer, the Demon's Bane.
None are safe from my vengeful wrath."

Rai's spiritual pressure began to rise sharply. The chain links began to snap in half from the strain. The air began to turn dense with a mixed feeling of good and evil. When Rai's spritual pressure dropped, he grabbed the steath and held it in his hand. He then tied it to his side and made his way to the courtyard. When the two were half-way there, Rai stopped and turned to Toma.
"I need you to promise me something. Do interfere with this fight. I need to end this myself."
