All his memories of Hisa flowed back into Raidon's head. He broke free of the hollow shell, which crumpled to dust, and ran to hug her.
"Hisa, it's so good to-" He began, but was stopped by a foot to his face. He hit the ground hard.
"Two things: One, no one hugs me without permission!" Hisa said with a superior tone in her voice.
Yep, it's her. Rai thought laughing to himself.
"Number Two: I haven't the faintest idea who you are." She said. The last sentence hit Raidon like a ton of bricks.
"You... you don't..." Rai began to stammer, getting up from the ground. "How can you not remember?!!" He paced on his feet.
"You know me?" Hisa asked without any certainty in her voice. Rai wanted to cry.
Great, the first familiar face I run into, and she doesn't even know HERSELF!!! He hung his head in gloom. He began to think harder. If I find another person that knows both of us, then our memories should be back no problem! He grabbed Hisas arm as he walked down the street but was slapped by a left palm.
"Don't touch me! I don't trust you completely yet!" Hisa cracked her knuckle and made herself look as intimidating as possible. Tears streamed down Rais face.
Yep. Just like old times. He thought happily and sadly. He tried to remember the other people he was friends with, but had no success.
You idiot. You can't escape the pain forever. A dark voice said in his head. He saw an angel with black and white wings standing behind Hisa.
"And you are?" Rai asked. Hisa wasn't moving from the comment. and then it dawned on him. Time stopped.
You really don't remember, you ignorant, innocient moron. The tatoo on Rais right wrist. A throbbing pain went throught his head, and he held it with both hands.
You have too much light. Even if it means ruining your life, I have to be your darkness. The angel vanished and time began to tic once more. Hisa rushed over to Raidon and helped him over to a shady tree. Whtie hollow wings sprouted from his back and he yelled in pain. The mask began to form on his face Hisa backed away in fear as Raidon returned to his hollow form. Once the hole openned in his heart once more, he glanced over at Hisa with cold eyes. The angels voice echoed through his head as he lost control of his body for a moment.
Do you need more blood-shed? Until you face me, this is how you'll stay.
Hollow Raidon roared and rushed at Hisa, ready to devour her, but he regained control of his body, and turned, biting a tree and breaking it from its roots. Rai trembled in fear at what almost happened. He looked at Hisa with teary eyes. Rai turned around and went back to the river, and looked down at his reflection in the water. All he saw was a dragon monster that has no heart. Tears rolled down the long mask and fell to the ground. He wiped tears with his claw, and then continued down the bank. When he regained his poise, he turned and looked at the bridge behind him. Hisa had followed him from the street.
"She's all alone right now..." He said to himself
You're worried. She defenseless and you're worried. The angel said in his head. I won't do anything drastic. Try to at least do something brutal next time you defend her. She's a siiting duck for hollows.
Rai pictured what he had to do when another masked monster attack. He got a chill up his spine, but he shook it off. Hollow Raidon turned to Hisa and called to her.
"I'll be right there!" He walked towards her on all fours. A large spider hollow was about to crawl down from a building when it noticed a dragon hollow stay by a human with a Soul Reapers scent. It stopped and pondered why it wouldn't enjoy its snack. It then decided to trap both for a grand meal. It crawled away to set up the perfect trap...
