“She’s not going to kill you idiot.” I smiled at him.
“I wouldn’t put it past her though.” Rai muttered and Akane kicked him. “Ahh!”
“You kind of deserved that one.” I laughed lightly.
“Now lay still Rai.” Akane ordered.
I stood up and walked over to Vathana and Kirei.
“Don’t worry Hisa, it’s not your fault that he got hurt.” Vathana mentioned trying to comfort me.
“I know but it feels like it’s my fault I couldn’t do anything to help him, what kind of leader am I then.” I muttered looking down at the ground.
“You’re strong, smart, quick witted, funny, sarcastic,…” He said.
“That’s just my personality.” I interrupted.
“I know, and your personality is what makes you a good leader.” He answered.
“It’s just what makes you, you.” Kirei smiled.
“Thanks Kirei, but I’m not as confident as people might think.” I stated.
“Really and why’s that?” Kirei questioned.
“Well for the longest time I’ve had this crush on a boy at the academy and I never worked up the courage to tell him. I guess it was because I was afraid of what he might say.” I replied.
