I fought to stay awake, and eventually I could hear who it was that had come over to me. “Akane, please, can you hear me?!” He said.
“H-Hiro…” I whispered.
“Don’t close your eyes whatever you do!” He ordered. “What hurts? Is anything broken?”
“M-Maybe my nose, everything hurts…” I managed to say.
“There’s no time for me to go get help…” He muttered, and picked me up bridal style.
“No…you’re hurt…” I tried to get him to put me down.
“I, I don’t care, you need to get to the infirmary… you may have internal bleeding we don’t know about.” I couldn’t move. I never knew I could be so hurt that I simply couldn’t move anything. Now that the injuries were settling in, and the adrenaline was starting to wear off, I was starting to really feel the pain. A few tears slipped from my eyes and those turned into steady drops. “Please don’t cry Akane, I know it hurts…” Hiro tried to comfort me.
“I, I let, Hisa down…” I whispered. It even hurt to talk.
“Don’t think that, you did no such thing.” He said seriously. “Just, just stay alive. We all need you.”
“Liar. You all, would be fine without me.” I retorted.
“Stop it Akane.” Hiro commanded. “Almost there.” He said. He yelled for help, and squad 4 members rushed to our sides. They put me on a stretcher and I looked at Hiro.
“Rai’s growing distant, and you love Hisa…there’s no room for me anymore…” And they quickly carried me away to see what exactly had happened to me, and on the way there, I slipped into unconsciousness.
