~*Akane*~
“Hisa! Please be careful!” I yelled from the ground. She was high up in a tree.
“I’ll be fine! Quit worrying!” She yelled back down at me.
“O-Ok.” I said. But she slipped, my heart jumped, but thankfully she caught the branch and was just hanging there. She looked down and just let go. I ran to attempt to catch her, but I lost my footing and slid face first to the ground. I saw Hisa land and then roll. She got up with ease and walked over to me.
“What are you doing down there?” She asked.
“I-I uh…” I stuttered wiping dirt off my face.
“Didn’t I tell you not to worry? And now look what you did! You completely tanked it!” She laughed lightly and helped me to my feet.
“Sorry.” I said softly.
“Akane, it’s ok. Just be careful when you come racing to the rescue ok?” She chuckled a bit. I smiled at her.
“Ok, will do.”
Things melted away again, and a new scene appeared.
“Rai! Hiro! Stop fighting!” I yelled as they brawled, throwing punches and kicks.
“But, you don’t know what he did!” Rai spat out.
“That gave you no right to do what you did to me in retaliation!” Hiro came back. I jumped in the middle and pushed them apart. As I turned I felt a fist hit my face. I hit the ground and I heard Hisa walk in.
“I’m so sorry Akane I didn’t mean it, I was aiming for Hiro and you moved…” Rai quickly said. Hisa helped me up.
“You alright?” She asked. I nodded and she glared at Rai. “Watch that temper of yours Rai. You’ll end up hurting people you don’t intend to.”
“And both of you, when I tell you to stop, I mean it.” I looked at the boys. They hung their heads.
“Sorry.” They both said in unison.
“It’s fine.” I nodded.
And then it melted away again. And another scene. And another, and another. Soon, I saw a bright light, and it felt like I was floating. I was calm. Peaceful. But then it was like someone flipped on gravity, and I fell for what seemed like forever. But then the feeling trailed off, and I actually felt something. I hurt. I tried speaking, but I couldn’t. Something was in my way. But a few minutes later, I could take breaths on my own again. I heard a bit of commotion, but then it went back to being decently quiet.
“Akane? Can you hear me?” I heard.
“Umhm…” I answered softly back.
“Good. Good.” Was all Hiro said. I opened my eyes and looked at him. “Who did this to you?” He asked.
“I-I don’t r-remember.” I sounded raspy. Like I hadn’t talked in months. “How long, have I been in here?” I asked.
“…about 3 weeks.” He said. I was shocked. “You’re hurt bad. You were on life support.”
“Life support?” I questioned.
“They took you off it about 10 minutes ago when they realized you were fighting to breathe.” Hiro explained. “Hisa is back too. She came to visit and left not long ago.” He added. My eyes filled with tears.
“She saw me like that?” I asked.
“Akane don’t cry…” Hiro said nervously. But I didn’t stop.
“Just look at me Hiro. I look so pathetic, I can’t even move.”
