I'm shocked -- shocked! -- to find that gambling is going on here!

Had a lot of fun watching Casablanca last night with Laura, Molly and Kei. It's the perfect example of old-style Hollywood entertainment -- how could anyone not enjoy it? Cracking wise (with love, of course!) every so often doesn't hurt, either. :)

Now, I don't think this is something I can do weekly (my schedule is simply too erratic for me to commit to any one day in the week), but it is something I would like to do with people every so often. For me, watching older movies is the preferred option, because modern stuff is everywhere on TV and easy to see. But there are tons of great older movies that deserve to be seen.

Anyway, I'm posting just to gauge the interest in this, take suggestions, whatever.

EDIT: I must also mention that I never leave for work until at least 1:30 p.m. my time every day (so 4:30 for all you east coasters, and so on from there), so if there is any way possible people can do this in the morning/early afternoon, then I'd be down for that as well.

EDIT2: Also, not that this would be a huge problem if we were to just focus on classic movies, but I'd impose a strict PG-13 limit on movies we watch. I don't think it will be a huge issue, though, because I doubt we will often watch movies that parents wouldn't want their kids to see.

I want to talk about how bad you make this room look.

I've been replaying Apollo Justice lately ... and I have to say that I don't like the second and third cases that much. Well, I guess the third case is kind of clever in how it is built, but I can't really get into it that much anymore. T...

Fans are dumb.

No matter your views on downloading anime/manga, I think we can all agree that this is really, REALLY stupid, right? The only good that came of that is the writing of the sentence "This is not 'lol'." Hilarious.

Also love the crybabies on the ANN forums criticizing the author for being overdramatic and then calling her an idiot and swearing to never support her by buying the manga (but they'll still read the scans, of course, because they like the series!). LOL

I needed that good laugh!

(Note: For various reasons, I watched just one movie this week, so I'm delaying the movie post by a week. Also, credit for t...

I am posting a post.

I've had an intense craving for Evangelion lately. Last time I saw the series was in high school, I think, or early in college at the latest. And the holiday edition is only $40 on Right Stuf ... hm ...

Anyway, I've begged for enough replies to this meme-a-ma-bob that I should probably open up shop on my World.

1. Respond with something random about you.
2. Tell you which color you remind me of.
3. Tell you my first memory of you. (Or more likely a specific memory of you that sticks out in my mind)
4. Tell you what animal you remind me of.
5. Ask you something I've always wondered about you.
6. Tell you my favorite thing about you.
7. Tell you my least favorite thing about you.
8. Challenge you to post this on your journal (if you haven't already). (Who the hell is left at this point??)

Have at it, you crazy people.
