Artists use lies to tell the truth.

I feel kind of weird being down to just two movies a week. I'm totally going to watch more, I swear. V for Vendetta (2006): It is about as good as a V for Ven...

Well, then.

First strange happening at the office!

I arrived to work this afternoon and saw a couple of my co-workers standing outside the office, which is sort of strange but not completely unbelievable since we all arrive at around the same time. Then I get into the building and a bunch of people are standing around the door to the main office, including our weekend editor (the person in charge), so I was like, "... What the hell is going on?"

I stop for a bit and see one of our copy editors, Russ, with his hands steadying the shoulders of some woman I've never seen before, and it is quickly apparent that she is bombed out of her mind. Somehow she got into the building (might have followed someone else in) and fell asleep in the hall. I hesitate to say anything more about the whole thing, because I really do not know the circumstances at all -- aside from the fact that the police were informed, and the woman's husband came to pick her up -- so I will settle with saying that it was quite strange.

In other news, there is a ton of food in the break room for some reason. :O Back to work for me!

Sports analogies ftw~ (Also maybe the only Dragnet reference ever made in connection with Monster.)

And a fun note for English dub watchers: Apparently Kyle Hebert voices Mauler, the grizzled journalist who teams up with Tenma in ep6. I did not recognize his voice at all while watching the episode, although I could hear it while concentrating the second time around, haha. Pretty good job by Mr. Hebert!

I am Shiva the destroyer, your harbinger of doom for this evening.

My movie watching has taken a bit of a hit since I started working, haha. I need to get a better balance between this and anime ... Commando (1985): Thoroughly absurd, ...
