Sci-Fi is retarded.

TC already covered it nicely, but there cannot be enough people pointing out how dumb the SciFi Channel is for not showing the after-credits scenes in Gundam 00. Right now it's just some extra story bits (Setsuna meeting with Lyle in ep1, and Lyle meeting everyone in Celestial Being in ep2), but later in the series the after-credits bits actually become, you know, IMPORTANT, so if SciFi doesn't show them, then they are pretty much screwing over fans who are following only the English version of the show. Great work!

In other news, I am caught up on all the current anime I have missed in the past week or so, including FMA: Brotherhood, which has me excited again after a lackluster ep11. Would it surprise any of you to learn I am now fanboying Izumi Curtis (aka The Master)? I mean, daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. She's tough, balls-out crazy and beats the holy hell out of whoever she wants. Right up my alley! <3

Also, I am quite happy to hear Yuichi Nakamura as Greed. I thought I recognized his voice during ep13 (he's even using his Graham voice, haha). Apparently the next episode is the point where the original series and this series officially split apart, so I'll probably get to watching the first series in a couple of weeks. (I still have to finish Azumanga Daioh, and then I am watching Speed Grapher.)

Joy of joys.

Got a call from Best Buy just now -- apparently there is a memory issue with my laptop that has to be fixed before they can get my computer working again, so they have to send it out to get that worked on. That means I probably won't get my computer back for another couple of weeks at least, and maybe a bit longer than that. Bummer. :(

Oh well. It could be worse. At least it will be fixed. And, hey, I have plenty of things to look forward to -- Anime Expo is this week, got a fun Fourth of July day at my uncle's house the day after and at the end of month, my family and my uncle's family will spend about five days or so in Las Vegas. (The excuse is my brother's graduation from high school, even though he is, er, not yet old enough to gamble. :P) My siblings are funneling me coins to use on the slot machines, the little scamps. Perhaps I shall teach them a lesson about gambling by keeping their money!

(Just kidding. I will probably lose it all anyway.)

Good News/Bad News

Don't know if anyone is subscribed to me who lives down here and is also not subscribed to SomeGuy, but just in case, I posted details about a planned Anime Expo meet-up on his Conventionist World. Check it out if you're in the area!

Anyway, uh, my laptop got hit hard with a virus (about half due to the computer being dumb and having bad timing, but also half due to me being a 'tard, not gonna lie), so I'll be online sporadically and randomly until I can get that all sorted out. Probably no My Week in Anime this week, but I am not especially torn up about that, as long as I can get my computer patched up. (I love it so!)

summer animu yayz

Got off my ass (j/k lol) and posted the summer 2009 anime thread at OB. This season looks quite promising -- there are a good number of shows that have caught my interest. A couple of the new shows (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 and Bakemonogatari) have me just as excited as the sequels (Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Spice and Wolf II).

Also, we are totally going to start a new anime -- Kannagi -- in the Anime Club a few minutes from now, so join us plz.

My Week in Anime #33

Another week means moar anime. I actually have the finale of Higashi no Eden ready to go, but I decided to put that off until next week's post because I have some other things I want to do today. Plus, there is more than enough writing in...
