On the other hand, the top five most awesome things about the Escaflowne movie:
1) Folken is even more David Bowie-esque in this than he is in the series. That is fucking hilarious and awesome. He should have had a song and dance number instead of being an emo shithead.
2) The music is still awesome.
3) Van chops off a guy's head in dramatic fashion at the beginning of the movie. I don't care if the violence is as over-the-top in this as the romance is in the series, that is awesome.
4) The movie is pretty. Prettiness is awesome.
5) Van looks like a girl in Hitomi's flashback. I laughed my ass off at that, it is hilarious. And awesome. *smacked*
So, yeah, the movie sucks. Makes me look back fondly at the series! At least it accomplished something. :D
