Six shots for Scorpio

Good times with Dirty Harry tonight! One of the classic cop pictures, really like the style in that one. Plus, we've got a two-movie boob streak (lol) going now! Will we make it three in a row with the next one?? (Seriously, I totally forgot how much nudity is in Dirty Harry, damn. Lives up to its name!)

1. Chinatown (1974): Private investigator J.J. "Jake" Gittes is hired by a woman to keep tabs on her husband, whom she suspects of adultery. The case gets much more complicated, however, when Gittes finds himself wrapped up in a battle over water during a Los Angeles drought ... and even that barely scratches the surface of the darkness he finds. Directed by Roman Polanski, starring Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway and John Huston.

2. Planet of the Apes (1968): Astronauts take off on a journey and are in deep hibernation when their ship crash lands on an unknown planet in the year 3978 (they took off in 1971). The three survivors go hunt for food and water but are soon attacked; one astronaut, Taylor, finds himself the prisoner of a group of sentient apes apes who are the dominant rulers of this planet. Directed by Franklin J. Schaffner, starring Charlton Heston, Roddy McDowall and Kim Hunter.

3. Blazing Saddles (1974): Satirical western comedy about a black sheriff, Bart, who along with a drunken gunslinger, defends the town of Rock Ridge against State Attorney General Hedley Lamarr, who wants to buy the town's land so that he can complete his railroad. Also, the fourth wall is exploded into tiny little pieces. Directed by Mel Brooks, starring Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder.

4. The African Queen (1951): Boat captain Charlie Allnut warns brother and sister missionaries, Samuel and Rose Sayer, about the impending war between the British and the Germans in German East Africa in 1914. Unfortunately, the Germans soon storm the mission village and Samuel ends up dead afterward. Rose meets up with Charlie, and after Charlie mentions a German gunboat that patrols a lake down river, Rose convinces Charlie to take part in a plan in which they will torpedo the boat, even though the plan is near suicidal. Directed by John Huston, starring Katharine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart.

5. Touch of Evil (1958): Two newlyweds, Miguel and Susie Vargas, are on the border between America and Mexico when a car bomb goes off. Miguel, a Mexican law enforcement official, decides to investigate, and he is met at the scene by Hank Quinlan, the local police captain. Quinlan begins an investigation on his own, but it is soon apparent to Miguel that Quinlan's tactics reveal his corruption, and Miguel works to uncover the real culprits behind the bombing before there are more victims. Directed by and starring Orson Welles, Charlton Heston and Janet Leigh.
