It's been a busy past few days for me, but I've finally got a license, car and insurance. (In that order.) But I ended up with something different than I initially searched for because the two cars I wanted at first were both sold before I could meet with the owners lol. So my uncle suggested we go to a few dealers just to look at some cars (not even really seriously planning to buy anything), and my cousin came along because apparently it's a hobby of his to go to dealers and test drive cars, haha.
Anyway, the car I ended up buying fell right into my lap at the third dealership: It's a 2005 Kia Amanti, a really nice running car that had its price slashed to the point where it was actually affordable for me. Lady Luck was on my side that evening! (Also, I bet a dab of Mollyism helped out, too. ;D)

I'm happy with the purchase, and it'll be a fairly hefty weight off my parent's shoulders now that I can help out more with random stuff. Plus, I can go to the movies whenever the hell I want. Good times for all!
EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure I know why California is so full of insane drivers: The license exam is the easiest thing ever. I fretted about that thing forever and passed it like nothing.
EDIT2: One more thing: Searching for insurance quotes online has left me bombarded for the past few days with calls and e-mails from insurance agents. Those guys are fuckin' sharks, man.
