So I've been thinking for a while now that it would be fun to get in on this streaming malarkey, and I'm still thinking about it, but it's definitely something that would be fun. What I'm thinking about most is that while there are tons of games that could be streamed with the various emulators that exist on the 'net, I'd also like to have streaming options open for my Xbox 360 and Wii (and the GameCube games that can be played on the Wii), and I'd have to gather some stuff before I could do that.

Also, there's the technical kinks that might come into play -- I'm not sure if using Skype while streaming with a capture card would work the same as when Des and Kei do it on the ol' emulators, but perhaps that's just me being ignorant. My small attempts at research haven't really cleared up my questions so far ... it's something I hope I can figure out before I buy anything, but even if it's not possible, there's still fun to be had.

Personally, if I were to stream, I'd like to focus on games I haven't played before. My gaming skills have eroded quite a bit over the years -- I know I'm definitely not as good as Des, so I can't impress anyone with how awesome I am at video games. However, I know from watching videos on the 'net that it is shockingly entertaining to watch people bumble through video games. Gamers have been long spoiled by how easy it is to look up how to beat games, and there's a ton of stock put into flawless runs, such that when people put up videos of them playing less than stellar, there's an inevitable rush of "GOD YOU SUCK" comments. Well, I admire those who are willing to show their gaming flaws, and I'd like to do that with my streaming. Besides, it would be much funnier to watch me fail all the time than it would be to watch me be good.

All this is just talk for now, though -- I wouldn't do any streaming until all you school types start checking out for the summer. Des streaming once a week is more than enough during the school year; besides, my awful schedule doesn't jive with many of you, anyway. It would be better to do it during the summer when the failures of my schedule would matter much less.

So that's about it for now. Any advice is appreciated, and requests for down the line should I decide to go through with this craziness are also welcome.
