Last year I wanted to go to Sakura-Con as a surprise thing (I even told SomeGuy about it behind the scenes!), but unfortunately, it did not work out since I couldn't get the time off. Cue sadness from me.

I don't want that to happen again, though, so I've put in for time months in advance, which I hope is enough to get approval. So, assuming I do get my time approved, I wanted to throw a proposal at you fine folks: Anyone want to put in for a hotel room?

I've made sure to have enough to afford a hotel room on my lonesome if need be (though I doubt it will come to that), but obviously being able to split the cost among multiple people is vastly preferable. (Also hanging out in a hotel room with people is preferable to being alone. :p) I'd be able to set everything up myself and put it on my card -- as long as my roommate(s) pay their share to me, it's cool. If you plan to stay for only a day or two, that is also fine; I won't ask anyone to pay for days they are not present. That would just be mean!

The only caveat with my magical setup is, of course, that it hinges on me actually being granted the vacation time to go to Seattle. If our schedule releases remain consistent, then I probably won't know until at most three weeks before the convention ... and, frankly, I might not know if I'm going until as little as a week before the convention. So that's something to think about. But I choose to remain positive and believe everything will be fine.

So ... who's interested in rooming with crazy ol' me? :O Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
