Kate Winslet has been my favorite actress for a while now, and she just won Golden Globes for Best Supporting Actress (for The Reader) and Best Actress (for Revolutionary Road). If this does not give her a crapload of momentum heading into the Oscars, then I don't know what will. Absolutely could not happen to a more deserving actress, IMO. She is wonderful. Plus, her acceptance speech was so full of genuine emotion and awesomeness. <3
Do yourselves a favor and check out Heavenly Creatures, Sense and Sensibility, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Finding Neverland and Little Children if you have not seen them.
I'll do myself a favor and watch Iris, Hamlet, The Life of David Gale and Quills, along with the aforementioned movies she won Golden Globes for. I should go on a Kate Winslet spree after my Woody Allen spree is done ...
