The happiest moments.

My thoughts are jumbled, and my head is in another place right now, so I'll just say this: I love Clannad ~After Story~. Its run during the winter has been downright incredible. I love Toradora! and Gundam 00, as well, but there is no way the endings to those two series match the emotional sweep and resonance of Clannad's finale (and nothing else out right now and also ending soon is good enough to even sniff that trio). At least part of that is due to my taste in anime, though -- the main themes Clannad explores (family, parent/child relationships, forgiveness, etc.) strike me to the core, so there is a part of me that will automatically feel more for that because of it. But I do genuinely believe Clannad's finale brings the series to a close in an excellent, fulfilling way, regardless of my personal bias.

Anyway, I just wanted to write this because for the past hour or so I have wracked my brain to come up with something heartfelt and meaningful to write about the finale for the ol' My Week in Anime post, and my mind is in so many places after watching it that I just cannot focus enough to do it justice. Maybe I'll get to it tomorrow.

I also meant to write my weekly movie post earlier, but I started playing Final Fantasy VI again to see if I could catch up to my brother before he could beat the game. (For the record, I am defending Narshe from Kefka, while he is at the Cave to the Sealed Gate, I believe. It's a longshot, but I am trying, anyway.) Maybe I will write it later today. Or Monday. I dunno. Depends on when I want to watch Marathon Man.
