Tino dodged the strike and burst into flame. With his head in the air, Tino howled. Fire erupted from his mouth and struck the giant creature. Zilpher stared in amazement. "Whoa! I guess you are worth it after all!" The snake burnt in the flames leaving nothing behind. Tino returned to normal and wagged his tail happily.
Zilpher looked down at Tino. "Sorry about insulting you earlier but now we better find Shones." Tino ran toward Sector 6 and Zilpher followed. When they reached the entrance to Sector 6, they could hear cheering. "Hmm. Wonder what's happening?" Tino let out a confused yelp and tilted his head. Zilpher shook his head. "Well, let's find out."
The crowd seemed to be watching something near the restaurant. Tino cleared the way for Zilpher. When they finally made it through the crowd, they could see Shones sitting on a stool handing out strangely colored spheres that resembled materia. Many people were lined up to receive the spheres, which most were dark with golden crests on them in the shape of animals.
Zilpher pushed through the crowded line to the front. "What are you doing? Why'd you run off like that?" Shones looked up at Zilpher, "Don't you remember? You were angry, being a jerk, and threw a fit over oatmeal. By the way, I don't want to be stuck in a cave all my life." Shones held out her hand and a small sphere appeared. "Here. Take this and I'll promise not to run off, again." Zilpher looked at Shones then at the impatient crowd behind him. "Okay. Maybe we can come here more often, since you seem to have fans. But remember, you can't go without me!" Zilpher took the sphere and sat next to her.
Shones smiled and stood up. She put her hands over her head and the crowd went silent. "Spheres for everyone!!" Shones pointed to the sky and spheres began falling. She laughed at the strange sight of people scrambling for the spheres.
"What's so special about these spheres anyway?" Zilpher rolled his purplish blue in his hand. "They're worth a lot of money and they're beautiful. These are Diatera spheres, the rarest in the world." Shones looked at Zilpher and laughed at his baffled expression. "Haha! You look funny. Zy, I think you need to get out more." "No kidding. I should've known that by looking at them. I almost thought they were materia but they didn't have the glow."
Zilpher turned toward the chef and ordered a BBQ plate. Shones sat back down on her stool and turned toward Zilpher. "You were worried. And yes, I know I'm young." Shones lowered her voice to where only Zilpher could hear. "Although I'm only a year old, most people think I'm at least 8." Zilpher looked over at Shones. "You're very unique. You shouldn't run off without me because Shinra will take you away and if that happens, they most likely will either kill you or something far worse."
