Ichigo is the first of the mews. During a visit to an endangered animal exhibition with her boyfriend Masaya Ichigo's dna get merged with the dna of a cat however she does not know this. After this she starts reacting to things like a cat (landing on her feet, falling asleep in the day and so on). She then meets Ryou Shirogane and Keiichiro Akasaka who tell her she can now transform into Mew Ichigo a powerful cat girl.
