CHAPTER TWO
Everyone in the house gave him sympathy. They bought him food and gave him presents to cheer him up. On the surface, Jaejoong was all thankful and happy, but deep down inside, he was still depressed. Anything he looked at reminded him of Tae Yeon. He would never get over her. But maybe Changmin's idea would help.
"I brought pizza!" Yoochun cried, setting down the box. Changmin's eyes grew as wide as dinner plates. He pushed Junsu into the television and raced to the table.
Junsu rubbed his elbow. "God, Minnie! What is wrong with you? It's just pizza!"
"That's the whole point!" Changmin called, rubbing his hands. "Pizza Pizza Pizza!"
"Aw, just shut up," Yunho grumbled, sitting beside him. Jaejoong's depression put him in a bad mood.
Yoochun looked at Yunho funny. Usually Yunho was friendly and open, not rude and quiet. He looked tired and sad, like Jaejoong. Yoochun wished he could ask why, but he was afraid Yunho would snap at him.
"Junsu," Yoochun said softly. "Call Jaejoong and tell him it's time to eat."
"It's always Junsu that has to get Jaejoong," Junsu grunted. "Why can't it be Changmin or something?"
"Pfy jhoo fave to pffick chon jee?" Changmin demanded, his mouth full of food.
"Swallow before you talk!" Yoochun said, slapping Changmin's head. Changmin swallowed and repeated his question.
"Why do you have to pick on me?!" he said, grabbing another slice.
Jaejoong came downstairs and sat across from Yunho. He stared at how tired Yunho looked. For some reason, there seemed to be another feeling that shadowed his face.
"What's wrong with Yunho?" he whispered to Junsu. Junsu shrugged and happily ate his pizza.
He noticed there was tension in the room. "So, how's college going Changmin?" he asked, trying to start up a conversation.
Changmin gave him a thumbs up. Jaejoong guessed Changmin wasn't paying attention; his eyes were locked on Junsu's slice of pizza.
"Okay..." Jaejoong took a deep breath. "What's wrong with everyone? I'm fine now, so you-"
Cha-ching-a-ling! Yunho whipped out his cellphone and flipped it open. "Hello?" he said. "Oh, hey. Mm-hmm. Yup. I'll meet you there. 'Love you. Bye." He hung up and looked up. Everyone was staring at him. "What?"
"Who was that?" Junsu asked, sounding interested.
"Someone," was all Yunho said. He averted his eyes from Jaejoong. "I'm going clubbing tonight."
"So you're going on a date?" Junsu demanded.
"I guess you could call it that," Yunho replied, shrugging. "Look, I'm going to be late. I'll see you guys later." He stood up and grabbed his jacket. "Oh and-" he stopped walking. "You'll never meet her."
With that, he closed the door.
"H-How did he know what I was going to ask?" Junsu asked, his eyes wide. "He's being so quiet. I wonder what he's hiding."
"Now, now, I don't think he's hiding anything," Yoochun said, but that's exactly what he was thinking too.
