Kara- the main character learned a lot of things. In the beginning she lost her best friend Jordan and stayed by herself all the time, It caused her to be depressed. In the end of the book her new friend helped her find God and to learn that God is your only best friend.
Amy- One of Kara’s new friends. Amy is a rebel she wears black gothic clothing and dark makeup. Amy doesn’t believe in God the first half of the story but after something terrible happens in her friend Edgar’s life, she wants to believe.
Edgar- One of Kara’s new friends who teaches Kara to love God as your best Friend. Edgar takes Kara to a special dance at school and shows her a good time. When Edgar tells Kara his mom is in prison and his dads a recovering alcoholic, Kara feels sorry for him. Edgar learns when his mom dies that all things happen for a reason and that god really does love you.
Jordan- Kara’s ex-best friend. When Jordan makes the cheer squad and Kara gets into the art club, Jordan gets a new group of friends “the popular crowd”. Jordan stops talking to Jordan and makes fun of her behind her back. When Jordan’s new friends ditch her, Jordan goes back to Kara, but she learns that Kara has found god her new best friend and wont give up her relationship.
Betsy- One of Jordan’s new friends on the cheer squad. Betsy is queen “B” at their school and everyone bows down to her. When Amy throws up on her shoes and Betsy makes a big deal about it Kara jumps her case and tells her exactly what she thinks. She stops being friends with Jordan because she stole her boyfriend.
