Jewelry dump!
Ok folks, here's another batch of jewelry photos :)
^Material used here are wooden beads with a little bit of silvery splashes thrown around.
^Fairly pleased with this one, even though it started out very different and I didn't end up with the look originally thought out ^_^; (A close up.)
^The black beads are plastic/acrylic with silver stripes on (here's a closer look) and the pinkish ones are glass/pearl.... Please ignore the fact that one of the black stripey bead to the center isn't aligned right >.>;
^I decided to make something a bit more ... bold (outrageous?) and this is what happened, lol. Haven't decided on its length since that'll depend on the person who ends up owning it. Not many people would want to wear this, probably, but it's fun to have it in my collection for a splash of variety ^_^
^Incredibly satisfied with this necklace. My sister Eleine ordered a necklace from me, pretty much giving me free hands, and I'm thinking this might be to her taste :D
Thanks for dropping by and having a look around :3
Apples = jewels
Today I decided it was time to ignite some fire into my hobby of making jewelery. And thusly three new necklaces were born, of which I'm fairly content with :p
Having bought two new storage units (one looks like a smaller briefcase, where the compartments can be taken out separately, and the other like a regular tool-keeping unit you'd see in a workshop) makes it a whole lot easier to work. Before it took ages to get stuff in front of me, sort out what I wanted to use, put back the left overs, and there'd still be a ton of things to clean off the work surface. Most of the time the desk looked more intimidating to approach than inspiring xD
Now I can easily find what I need without spending precious time on cleaning up while creating ^_^
On with the show, starting with the three pieces made today:
^ Quite pleased with it, especially how it grew naturally/quickly from just wanting to use the green drop to a finished necklace :)
^ This one went rather fast to make, as well, though it would've been fun to have tiny bells at the bottom but I'm good with how it looks anyway.
^ Most of the stuff I do come out very cluttered so I've been working on trying to keep some pieces simple/clean. Mom thought it looks modern which would be a good thing, seeing as I'd like to be broad in my creativity ^_^
And now for some slightly older ensembles:
^ Didn't have the pieces I wanted/needed for this necklace but finished it anyway. Hopefully my latest batch of beads will come in next week so I can polish it up :-/
^ Started off as a three-row necklace and during it's progression towards a finished piece (with merely two rows) I begrudgingly discovered that I need a lot of more practice with three-rows after having all of my collected attempts fail on some level >.>;
^ Not quite finished. Unsure of how to finish it off (lawl). Overall I'm very pleased with how it came out :)
^ Another three-rowed necklace that survived above my expectations into a two-row necklace :o I bought a bag of fishies in mixed colors and the idea hit me to position the fish in a middle row, to make it really look like it was in water. The end result is a much more stylized version of my original idea. Can't say it doesn't please me, though :p
That's it for this round, kids! Look forward to sharing more in a near future (seeing as I'll more than likely have lots of free time to create now >.>)! :3
Intro image ala Mimmi
Just throwing a small blurb-post in here about my intro image.
At first I was working with a less funny and rather straightforward piece that didn't seem to go anywhere. However, my most recent wallpaper* had just been finished so with that one fresh in mind the wonderful punny idea to this one was born.
The sheep can either be interpreted to represent me or as the sillyness I hatch up. It's got a paintbrush behind its ear, which is ironic because I can't actually paint, smudges from going wild with creating and a cheeky smile hidden behind the egg shell. Said egg shell was made with the help of an image of Jupiter. True story.
Now if only I could grasp how to stop making this place transparent and thusly prevent my images from looking washed out when they're posted here *wrinkles nose*
* It might see the light of day, depending on what Batou says. I decided to nag him this time, to give Ichigo a break from me >.>
