Casino Del Sol Opens This Month

The face of Arizona Tribal Gaming will change dramatically when Casino Del Sol officially opens the first phase of its new gaming complex, which completed the new 4,400-seat Anselmo Valencia Torrey Amphitheater (AVA) later this month.

The first phase of Casino Del Sol's $65 million construction project, which covers 70,000 square feet, will also include 500 multiethnic, ticket-in/out slot machines, 12 poker tables, and Moby, a 24-hour theme restaurant from the 1960s.

"This is an important and proud moment in our history as a tribe. We have come a really long way," said Robert Valencia, president of the Pascua Yaqui tribe. "When the project is completed by the end of next year, Casino Del Sol will provide more than 900 jobs for the Tucson people and the Tucson people.

"This expansion will greatly benefit our tribe's self-sufficiency goals by helping us continue to expand and upgrade health and social services, education programs, and housing in our Yaqui community."

Casino Del Sol, the second of two casinos owned by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, will be Arizona's most unique gaming complex when completed, with stunning architecture modeled after a Mediterranean resort. Designed by Leo A. Daly and built by Kitchen Contractors and themed by The Larson Co., Casino Del Sol will set a new standard for gaming and entertainment in the state. 바다이야기

One of the key features of the Casino Del Sol is that it provides 100 percent outside air. This unique system is the only one of its kind in the United States and produces smoke-free air to effectively negate the effects of smoking indoors.

Along with a 12-table poker room, the casino will offer 500 top-end nickel, quarter, dollar and $5 slot machines featuring Casino Del Sol's new ticket-in/out coin-free slot technology, industry analysts say, revolutionizing the gaming industry.

For those with an appetite, Mobis will be the first of several restaurants to open in Casino del Sol. Diners will be treated to the outdoor activities of 1960s California beaches that are open 24 hours a day. Breakfast is served from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., and lunch or dinner will be served in a casual and laid-back atmosphere at any time.

Anselmo Valencia Torrey Amphitheater (AVA) is also opening this month. From nationally renowned entertainers to local performances, this 4,400-seat outdoor amphitheater will be the first and largest private concert venue in southern Arizona. This truly intimate, state-of-the-art setting includes six corporate boxes, 1,600 theater seats, and 2,800 festive-style grass seats.
