Welcome to my world.

I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.

And I work for this site.

And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).

Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.

If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

Just Finished More Sarah Connor Chronicles . . .

So yeah. Once again I'm up far too late and it's gonna hurt in the morning when I have to go to work. Luckily it means I get home BEFORE the sun goes down, though, so that's a plus - means I can actually touch base on Skype with people again finally.

Anyway, season 2 of The Sarah Connor Chronicles is incredible. John Connor's slowly becoming more badass, they're "fleshing out" Cameron (the cyborg girl) more and more and throwing in fun bits that could come back later. And yes, the drama is quite tasty.

Case in point: this is a hell of a way to kick off a new season. So the end of last season included Cameron in a car explosion - the explosion apparently messed up her brain/chip and she reverted back to her "Terminate John Connor" programming . . . well, after an episode of chasing the humans around, they catch her . . . and holy crap, it's good stuff:

All a lie? Just another robot trick so she can kill him? Probably . . . but still. Damn. Also, I freakin' love Summer Glau. Just sayin'.

A'ight, I'll get back to work on fan words and other stuff later tonight. See ya then, guys!

This just happened just now . . .

Time: 4:56am. Brother comes downstairs to get his hockey gear so he can go train his kids. Sees me sitting at the computer.

Brother: What the fuck are you doing up?
Me: Watching Sarah Connor... didn't mean to...
Brother: Huh...

Brother proceeds to get his hockey stuff; I start downloading the next episode followed by typing this while feeling like an idiot.

Gaddamit . . .

Playin' around with the PS3 . . .

Bought "Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway" last Wednesday. Enjoyed it quite a lot. Very satisfying tactical-type shooter. Makes you care about fictional characters and stuff - who knew the character stories could keep so interesting? Also, you get to kill Nazis, and that never gets old.

So I've been pegged more or less as the full time evening worker at Photo-Audio. I get scheduled a lot for evenings and closing and such. I mean, I know I said I was now ready to really hunker down and have no life for the next year while I earn moneys and the like . . . but damn. I'm missing a lot of good dinners and television right now and I'm still not making quite as much as I really need - shall have to keep checking on those other leads . . .

. . . also, knowing that I don't have to wake up early for work, I'm staying up far too late which in turn makes me sleep in far too late which means I'm still missing half the day, and then once I wake up it's off to work until night time. This needs to end, because it's making life less interesting.

. . . . . also, Kimbo Slice got his ass beat down by a replacement fighter to Ken Shamrock. You go, Seth Petruzelli! Way to take down that big dumb brawler!

Finally, since I saw it in the Playstation Store . . .

. . . WHY THE CRAP IS MEGAMAN 9 SO FLIPPIN' HARD?!?!

We Didn't See Strippers. Sorry.

So it was paintball, dinner at White Spot, then dicking around at the casino for a bit. Fairly mild as far as bachelor parties go, but hey. That's how things are with these guys - very subdued, but all things are done with intensity.

Or something.

In any case, I came out of paintball pretty clean, actually. Only got shot once in the hand and the rest were in my gun or in my head/face (which hurts less as it's plastic as opposed to thin cloth). One did hit me in the mouth, though, and the spatter went through the vent holes and into my mouth, though . . . it was the last game, so thankfully I wasn't tasting paint for much longer than that . . .

So that was Sunday.

I've just been doing the Superstore thing all week, always working late into the night which has been hell on my prime time television. A shame, really.

I did pick up "Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway" though. I've always liked the Brothers in Arms series - really memorable characters, neat gameplay mechanics, explosive dismemberment in this new one . . . quite liking it.

Other than that . . . . . no, things have been pretty chill. Site-wise, Beth turned older than she already was (love ya Bethers!) and the new comments page is on the fritz it seems . . . other than that, I just need to do captions and then get to work.

Peace.

Dun-Dun, Dun, Dun-Dun... Dun-Dun, Dun, Dun-Dun...

Y'know what's a good show? Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Bought the Blu-ray discs last week, started watching 'em last night. Totally enjoying it so far - doesn't get much better than River Tam from Firefly and Queen Gorgo from 300 in the same TV series.

Catarina's back home safe and sound, which is good. Missing her terribly, though, which is less good. Heh . . . 'twas a long visit, after all.

Other than that, my buddy's got a stag party today. Paintballing, dinner, and whatever else we can think of. Should be fun, lookin' forward to it. Reminds me, though, I should take out some money . . .

Online work is mostly back on track. This pleases me. Other than that, I'm only typing this up on a pee-break. Must get back to more Sarah Connor Chronicles now.
