I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.
And I work for this site.
And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).
Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.
If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

Other than that . . . I've got six pumpkins stinking up the inside of my car right now, and I need to turn those into Patapons. I'd best not sleep in tomorrow . . .
I think today should be fun.
Also, there are WAY too many balloon animals still around my house . . .
Just got a call from my mom this morning. I forget if I mentioned it earlier, but my parents have been in China the past couple weeks on a big ol' trip with a bunch of family friends (including our soon-to-be in-laws). They come back around the 10th of next month or so, right before my brother's wedding.
Wellllll . . . my parents have cut their trip a bit short. While in Shanghai, my stepdad got the flu and got extremely weak. Fearing it could turn into something worse, my parents left the group and flew to Hong Kong for treatment. China may be one of the fastest growing industrial powers in the world, but sometimes there are just some things worth handling on your own terms. Second, there's no risk of language slips for my mom to explain things.
Also, being former Hong Kong police, my stepdad'll have some perks.
So my mom says everything's okay, and while my stepdad recovers they'll just be chilling in Hong Kong until the rest of the group catches up with them in a week or so. For his merit, my stepdad is already able to walk around and whatnot.
This also marks another instance of my stepdad getting sick or hospitalized during a vacation. There have been several cruise examples ranging from food poisoning to a smushed toe to some other damn thing. In Egypt he collapsed at one point or another (either heat or something similar). In a lot of these cases, his being a heart patient (along with his age) has led to quicker action than not.
So yeah . . . poor guys. I'm sure they'll be fine, but still. This has to suck for them.
I'm not gonna rant about the inside scoop of our movie anymore. It'd just be a vent for how frustrated I became over that weekend, and I hated feeling so pessimistic about our film when everyone else wanted to encourage me to embrace the good sid...
Hahhhhhh . . . so exhausting weekend has more or less become exhausting weekend and Monday. Spent a good bit of tonight (or last night) uprooting some dramas I brought upon myself. For better or worse, that's taken care of and that should be fine for the most part. Should be, anyway.
The other one . . . well, that one, I can defuse soon.
On a related note, here's our short film, "Smile For Me", without the context of dramas to distract you:
Maybe I'll talk behind-the-scenes next time . . . just need to take stock of which of my locals read this first . . . . . should be fine, though.
