Welcome to my world.
I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.
And I work for this site.
And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).
Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.
If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

I have decided that "Kill, 'F', or Marry?" is the greatest game to bring to an anime convention Q&A.
For example, a recent Final Fantasy "So You Wanna Be A SOLDIER?" panel had Angeal, Zack, and a buttmonkey Cloud teaching people what it takes to be a First Class SOLDIER. And then they got to Q&A.
So I asked my buddy Zack (in front of a large audience): "Aeris, Tifa, Yuffie; kill, 'F', or marry?"
It made the boys all antsy a bit. It was good times. But then it got epic.
Final question, girl with cat ears. "Zack," she goes, "I has a question for you..." Zack gives his okay.
"Hug, kiss, or 'F'; Angeal, Cloud, or Sephiroth?"
Probably the greatest capper to a surprisingly amusing panel. I'll YouTube that stuff as soon as I figure out my new camera.
Yes. It is confirmed.
There was indeed a great deal of debauchery in Las Vegas. And I shall leave it at that.
Anyway, anime con' . . .

The weekend'll more or less follow that trend.
So yeah. Busy week. Expensive week.
I should have requested today off from work, really.
FML.
Workin' on cosplay right now, decided I needed some music. Pop up iTunes because that makes for easy playlists, come across a bit line of music composed by Greg Edmonson, who composed the music for the Uncharted game series.
That series, as you know, is a series I love quite dearly.
And yet that wasn't the only album I had by Greg Edmonson . . . above the soundtrack for Uncharted 2, listed with that composer's name . . .
. . . was the soundtrack for Firefly.
THAT series, as you know, is a series I love quite dearly. Explains a lot, I figure.
So that aside . . .
Birthday was fun. And thanks, everyone, for all the birthday wishes! I totally don't deserve all that - just sayin'.
On the local front, family pitched in and got me a new digital camcorder with an 80gb internal hard drive. That's gonna be useful in the years to come. Also got some clothes, a DVD for Kick-Ass . . . fun times. Also suggested we all go out for Korean barbecue for dinner, which was fun for everyone, most of whom had never gone to a korean-specific restaurant before.
Anyway, I'm distracting myself from cosplay. I only have one or two real days to work on this stuff before I'm screwed. Talk to you all later!
Well, it's past midnight everywhere else in the world that pays attention to here.
So here are the results:
- 3: 41%
- 4: 18%
- 5: 16%
- 2: 14%
- 7: 7%
- 1: 5%
I guess we have a winner!
!!!
(Refresh that if you're not seeing anything new.)
As always, thanks for playing. This part of the yearly tradition is always fun.
Also, when the fuck did I become 27 years old? Crikes . . .
