. . . was really, really, really good. I am super impressed.
A shame I missed it in 3D; bet it would've been really good too.
Only other thought about this . . . Dreamworks' CG animation is coming along really nicely. After this and Kung-Fu Panda the other year, I feel like they've finally kinda found their stride where they can tell an enjoyable, mature story that's good for the sake of good without needing to rely on gimmicks or under-the-radar jokes for parents. You don't have to be ballsy or edgy to show how you can stand up to Pixar. You just have to have the guts to tell the story that needs to be told.
Really good music doesn't hurt anything either.
So yeah. Enjoyable film.
