Pre-PAX Update . . .

So it's a little past 5am right now. Cosplay workshop continues.

Had a lot of wonder-flex armour that needed making for a few of the folks. One dude pretty much had his ENTIRE Damian Wayne thingy made tonight alone. At one point we broke our last regular fabric needle and I had to do a quick run out to get replacements.

Anyway, lots of clean-up gonna be waiting for me. Bits of glue gun, wonder-flex, styrene, fabric, thread, and everything in between. Hopefully I can get the kitchen and death garbage in order before I leave though (should be doable).

But yeah. Been working on cosplay since about 10am yesterday, and it never stopped. Really, it's just more reason for us to start EARLY on this stuff for once. I feel like being relaxed and prepared well ahead of a con could be nice instead of this freaking out last-minute when you're well in the phase of "it looks kinda derpy but too late!" Perhaps one year we will learn . . .

So the other childrens are loading up now - I guess they're more or less heading straight to Seattle from here. Oof . . . that's rough. But, if you wanna beat the border wait, that's pretty much all you can do. One's still sewing (last minute repair problem because a piece didn't turn out right) and she's pretty grumbly right now. It sucks. Again, just comes with the stress of having to get all this stuff done in so little time, just wishig we HAD started earlier but it just not being able to work out, either because of work or because the others weren't quite up to snuff on that side. It's totally one of those things that'll leave you soured for the whole weekend if things don't pick up quick for ya.

Totally sucks. My heart goes out to her.

Over on my end, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be shaving my legs with my Mach 3 razor. Should be hilarious. And if I do chop my legs up to ribbons, well . . . it's Jason Todd, he's supposed to be all messed up!

I may or may not blog later tonight. We'll see. Anyway, pre-con kerfuffle. It's hectic.

Seriously. Worst hobby ever.
