Emerald City Comic Con is a pretty sweet gig. Very chill, friendly people, pretty well organized, and on the whole a decent variety of things to see and do. Even the lines weren't terrible as I found people were quite willing to have conversations about anything and everything. Will definitely do it again and I could recommend it wholeheartedly. Things I personally did that were pretty memorable include:
- Watched Phil Lamarr classily sass every less serious question asked in his panel.
- By happenstance held a door open for Misha Collins, for which he said "Hi, how are you doing?"
- Had sort of a bro moment between fellow Shaolin martial artists with Ray Park.
- Asked Grey Delisle about whether directors intentionally get her to use her Azula voice in other work now that they know she has it.
- Taking and posting the photo of a guy enacting the "Hawkeye Initiative" and then watching it grow to almost 30,000 notes over two days...
- Got a photo at the Night Zero booth as Drake in the Seattle zombie apocalypse.
Oh yeah, and then there was that point where I asked Felicia Day if she wanted a gun...
She was awesome.
Anyway, I'm back home and awake now. Will try to get those captions done sooner than later, although NO ONE has sent me any pics yet...
