Haha, I sang at someone's wedding . . .

Things've definitely gotten busy on my end. Friday I helped my brother move into his new house (which actually worked out really well, seeing as there were about a dozen cops helping him . . . and they can lift, yo). That said, I'm really tired now.

Saturday (yesterday), I went to a guy from kung-fu's wedding banquet. There were like, 600 people there (Chinese people, go fig'). In any case, the old Chinese people were kinda dead in terms of energy, so it was up to my kung-fu hing-dai and I to make things noisy . . . we were partially successful. Funny thing, though, the guy actually brought a guitar with which to serenade his new wife (sang "Pretty Woman"). So yeah . . . fun times were had by all, Crown Royal was had by all . . .

And then near the end after most people had left and the rest were tired of dancing, they cracked out the guitar again. Anyway, at some point people wanted me to sing (I apparently have a reputation now, go fig'), but the groom and I didn't have any coordinating songs that we both knew . . .

. . . well, at some point I picked up the guitar, played around with it a bit . . . and then eventually played and sang a messy, half-drunken rendition of "It's Not Easy" by Five For Fighting. Luckily, some other young people from kung-fu knew most of the words, so they helped me out . . . but yeah, it actually happened. Funny, huh>

So that was the weekend so far.

On a more professional side, the convention meet-up for Sakura-Con is finally underway! Now, last year we had about ten people (including staff) from the site meet. I think we can do far better.

If ANYONE knows ANYONE going to Sakura-Con, fill them in so we can get some plannin's done! There is so much crazy stuff we could do . . . we just need to plan for it!

That said . . . where the heck has Gail been? I haven't seen her since the new version came out and I miss her . . . also, she has all the free swag for Sakura-Con. Also, I wanted to ask her what she was intending to do at the con', 'cause I wanted to follow her around to learn how to do press-type stuff.

Umm . . . other than that in terms of Sakura-Con . . . I think I have two free spaces in my hotel room in Seattle; "Pein" and her friend seem to be bailing which sucks (money reasons, mostly, I think). Sooooo . . . we'll see what happens next.

So that's that.

Back to approving Fan Words . . . though Adam took care of a bunch, so yay!
