Curious Turn of Events . . .

I've been neglecting Fan Words again lately, so I'm slogging through them now. And now I've come upon an interesting situation . . .

There's a particular member who's posting a LOT of fanfics right now. That in itself isn't bad, and I assume they're all written from some time before and she found a new avenue to put them online here.

Here's the kicker . . .

She writes about half and half yaoi and not. Again, not bad in and of itself. However, the yaoi stories she writes are kinda rough to read, and are of a significantly lower quality than her other stories. It's very much the "yaoi fangirl" textbook example.

Her het-based stories will be decent enough, not too many issues, normal speech and characterization . . .

. . . her yaoi-based stories will instead be filled with random groping, other characters prying them off, and others going "I WUV YOUUUUUUUU!"

Ahem.

Practical quality standpoint, those just don't make the grade. Thus . . .

. . . I'll probably be seen as a stuffy, homophobic yaoi-hater or somethin'. Maybe. If I am, then that'd be the rub right there. Boo.

Other than that . . . doing well, watching a lot of Smallville, kinda sad the next new one won't be 'til next year (this season's gotten really good!). Otherwise, just playin' PS3, just doin' dishes . . . more of the same, y'know.
