Things Worth Mentioning From The Past Few Days...

Point form, gettou!

  • Did a little Christmas shopping. Still have not started mail out for Europe just yet and am now cutting it extremely close. Umm . . . if it's not there in time . . . sorry, Europe. My bad.
  • On grounds that bills gotta get paid, most of you on my usual lists are probably gonna notice a significant lack of bubble packages this year. We'll call 2008 the "economic crisis" year. That which does arrive should hopefully bring a little luck nevertheless.
  • Superstore started being open 24 hours this week. I'm not getting much of any of those midnight-onward hours, and actually have fewer hours this week than last. I need to check that today so I can get moneys to pay said bills.
  • Internet has been sucking especially bad lately. Thankfully, we're getting our own cable and internet set up Tuesday morning. It shall be glorious.
  • Alexa's getting better. This is good.
  • Alexa got me a new keyboard/mouse combo as an early Christmas present on grounds that the old keyboard was "REALLY loud" when she was trying to sleep. Amusing. In any case, new keyboard is pretty nice, is less gunky than the old 4-year old one, and still has all the wonderful shortcut keys I love. And yes, it is quieter so the girl can sleep better.
  • I also made Alexa watch the extended director's cut of "Kingdom of Heaven" last night. She didn't comment on how she felt about it (aside from the whole "I hate how much shit people do in God's name" bit) on grounds that it was way past her bedtime. Burn. Still, good times.
  • My kung fu group was in this year's GlobalTV Santa Claus Parade yesterday, just ahead of the Mayor of Vancouver even. Since I don't have TV yet I don't know how that looked on the thingy, but it was fun and went well enough.

That is all. I'll go do the podcast now that internet's back on.
