Early 1990s when I started watching The Transformers (1984), though that was before I learned that not all cartoons are American (However, while the classic Speed Racer series was the second anime I got into, you may consider this what made me the anime fan I'm today if you don't consider the original Trasnformers to be anime)

Anime Online Viewing Status of 09/01/2013

Soa far, I am at episode 22 of the edited-for-DVD cut of Space Battleship Yamato 2199, which means four more episodes to go. While await for the final four to appear online in a few months, I started watching Inu Yasha: The Final Actonline, and I'm at episode 4 of the series with twenty something more episodes to go. Shame that the first episode of this Inu Yasha series did not start with a recap of the first anime T.V. series', not even to just recall the major plot points. Additionally, started watching Goldorak - Le Robot de L'Espace (the French dub of UFO Robot Grendizer) online a few weeks earlier, and I'm at episode 15 with plans to catch the Télétoon Rétro broadcast of entire the anime series itself (which starts tomorrow), just in case no more Goldorak eps show up online as the series cosnists of 74 episodes.

Today, I finished watching on streaming video, Space Pirate Captain Herlock: Endless Odysssey, and what an amazing work I found it to be, though I was disgusted by the last episode's ending. At least Captain Harlock's creator Leiji Matsumoto was not part of the team that made the anime itself, and it's not part of Harlock canon either.

In the meantime, I await to see if more episodes of the edited-for-DVD cut of Space Battleship Yamato 2199 will arrive on streaming video websites so I can finish watching the whole store as I am at episode 14 of the cut itself.

Anime Online Viewing Status of 3/15/2013

Up to date, I have reached episode 11 of the 26-episode cut of Space Battleship Yamato 2199, which leaves me with 15 episodes to go. So far, there have been a few anime I told myself I need to watch online (namely Bodacious Space Pirates and Space Pirate Captain Herlock: Endless Odyssey, but never yet found the chance to watch them. Nevertheless, they remain in my "anime series to watch" list. Moreover, while browsing ANN to see what anime series are coming in the future, I found a few upcoming titles I feel maybe promising to suit my entertainment tastes, despite sometimes feeling critical about how anime in general had turned out to be currently. I don't know when or if I'll ever watch them, but the titles I add in my "anime series to watch" list now are Inu Yasha: The Final Act, Miss Muromi on the Beach, Valvrave the Liverator, Majestic Prince, Marvel Anime: Iron Man, Marvel Anime: Wolverine, Dirty Pair (1985), Mazinkaiser SKL, and Guyver: The Bio-Bossted Armor. Then there are the few anime of each I only saw a few episodes or one in the past but hope to find time to watch later in the future as well, namley Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, Sword Art Online, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Smile Precure, Zettman, Gurren Langann (as I'm not yet at the "7 years later" adventures). I just have to take my time, one series at a time.

Anime Online Viewing Status of 12/01/2012

Boy, it's been months since my last posting of my anime online viewing status. Well, hours ago, I was browsing around YouTube to see if there were any videos featuring fan-made Star Blazers content or anything containing updates on U.S. film studio SkyDance Productions' mission to get the license to produce for western audiences a live-action film based specifically on the "Star Blazers" dubs of the classic Space Battleship Yamato series (not the original Japanese version itself), and while searching and noticing that no new updates on SkyDance's goal have yet popped up, I stopped to notice that the first seven episodes of the 26-episode T.V. series cut of Space Battleship Yamato 2199 (the cut to be broadcasted on Japanese T.V. next year) are now available on YouTube and subbed with English captions, with 19 more to come later. So far, I have watched up to episode 6. Weird case scenario was that the streaming videos used the label "New Star Blazers", which I find to be ironic since the subbings of the Yamato 2199 episodes do not use any names from the Star Blazers dub (ex: Susumu Kodai is usually called "Derek Wildstar" in the Star Blazerized versions while maintaing his original name in the original Japanese language versions of the SBY anime)

I have today finished watching the second season of Spice and Wolf at Funimation Entertainment's YouTube channel. However, I still have yet to think of what next anime to watch online.
