Attention all "G.I. Joe" fans in Canada! Mark your calendars as Canadian T.V. broadcaster Teletoon Retro will be running an all-day all-night marathon of "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" (1985) on August 1, starting at 9:00 AM ET/PT.

If you ask me, it's possible that this event is the network's attempt to celebrate the release of "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" (2009), kind of like the time Teletoon Retro ran a "Transformers: Generation One" some time ago as to celebrate the release of a "Transformers" film. And oh yeah, look for the "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" (1985) season 1, Part 1 DVD in stores!
