News: Dairugger XV Uncensored

If you're a long time of the "Voltron" franchise or are just an Anime fan wanting to explore Anime's past, here's something that maybe of interest. Now on Region 1 DVD for the first time is "Armored Fleet Dairugger XV" (1982), the original Japanese Animated Space Adventure/Mecha T.V. series classic that was used to make the "Vehicle Voltron" episodes of "Voltron: Defender of The Universe" (1984). Once you get to witness the classic itself, you'll finally see right before your eyes the differences between the versions with "Armored Fleet Dairugger XV" containing violent/mature content considered unsuitable for kids by American T.V. censorship standards, but keep in mind that "Dairugger XV" has no relation to "Beat King GoLion" (1981), the Anime T.V. series that was used to make the first 52 "Lion Voltron" episodes of the same "Voltron" series.

The first Region 1 volume of this 1982 classic is now available in stores with the second volume scheduled for release on May 25, 2010. And of course, there are still DVD copies of "Voltron: Defender of The Universe" (1984) availible in stores where DVDs are sold. Note that "Armored Fleet Dairugger XV" is rated 13+ by its North American distributor Media Blasters.
