Today, ANN has reported another piece of sad news. For, long-time Anime English dub voice actor Peter Fernandez had kicked the bucket this morning as a result of lung cancer, and he was at age 83.

This actor was well known for his voice acting performances for english dubs "Speed Racer" (dubbed from 1967's "Mach Go Go Go"), 1960s "Astro Boy" (dubbed from 1963's"Tetsuwan Atom"), "Marine Boy", "Gigantor" (dubbed from 1963's "Tetsujin 28-Go"), and of course "Star Blazers: The Bolar Wars" (dubbed from 1980's "Space Battleship Yamato III"). He also did character voices for the Japan Airlines dub of "Lupin III: The Secret of Mamo" (1978).

He will be missed by lots, including of course those from the older generation of North America-based Anime fans.
