If you're into action films/T.V. series with strong female protagonists, here's some news for you! Yesterday, Hollywood Reporter had announced that U.S. premium cable network Starz had picked up from Sam Raimi (director of 2002's "Spider-Man") and Robert "Rob" Tapert (co-producer of 1981's "The Evil Dead"), their proposal for a live-action movie based on "Noir" (2001). Though no release date is yet confirmed, Raimi and Tabert will serve as executive producers with Stephen Lightfoot to work as the film's writer and one of its executive producers.
For those not familiar with "Noir", it's the first T.V. series of Bee Train's girls with guns-themed trilogy (which includes "Madlax" and "El Cazador de la Bruja") and in this series, two protagonal assassins (Mireille Bouquet and Yumura Kirika) work together as partners to find information about a 1 000 year-old group that managed to control their lives during their pre-births while looking for secrets of their past, which may reveal how they're connected to each other.
