Yesterday, ANN had revealed that a 12th "Gundam" T.V. series is currently in the works for premiering this Fall with Sunrise and video game developer Level 5 (creator of "Professor Layton") joining forces to produce. This new anime is called 'Mobile Suit Gundam AGE" and while the name of its continuity of setting has not yet been decided, it will present a plot depicting a 100-year war but with a legacy of three protagonists who fight an unenemy to protect Earth using the Gundam AGE-1, a mobile suit that can access three forms using the AGE System: Normal Mode, Sparrow Mode (to increase speed), and Titus Mode (to increase power). The protagonists wil be Furitto Asuno (developer of the Gundam AGE-1), his son Asemu Asuno, and descendant Kio Asuno.
Additionally, Level 5 indicates that there will be several projects to tie in to this upcomoing series: a manga series (to be serialized in the magazine series "Corocoro Comic"), a model kit and action figure line, games, and trading/collectable cards.
