News: Hughes Replaced For Position of Directing U.S. Akira

Today, ANN and Variety report that Waner Bros. has finally found a replacement for Albert Hughes in the position of directing the upcoming U.S. live-action movie re-interpretation of the Japanese comic book series "Akira" following his resignation from the film's staff. The director helming the projwct is Jaume Collett-Serra, who directed "House of Wax" (2005), "Orphan" (2009), and "Unknown" (2011). So far, neither has there yet been news on who wins the protagonal role in this movie nor has there yet been news on who wins the antagonal role, thus it's seems that auditioons still continuie at this moment.
