At last, the 2000 Geter Robo re-imagining OVA miniseries Shin Getter Robo Robo Vs. Neo Getter Robo is finally being licensed for DVD and Blu-ray distribution in North America, and although a release hasn't yet been indicated, this will be the first Getter Robo anime to ever get officially brought in North America since New Getter Robo (2004). The anime's North American distributor will be Diskotek.

For years, I've been contemplating buying some Geter Robo DVDs in the past (namely in the case of New Getter Robo and Getter Robo: Armageddon) because I enjoyed legendary mangaka Go Nagia's mecha tales (like Mazinkaiser for example), only to learn that my chances had died when I learned that Geneon and ADV Films went out of business. Hopefully, this anime will be easy for me to find in the store shelves once it comes out. Diskotek, you are sure making my morning look bright.
