While this year is the 35th Anniversary of the "Getter Robo" franchise (co-creation by legendary mangaka Go Nagai of "Mazinger Z" fame), get ready for the new "Getter Robo" manga series, "Gisho Getter Robo Darkness", the latest alternate telling of the "Geter Robo" Saga, created by Hideaki Nishikawa (creator of "Mon Cole Knights"). The first chapter of this will appear in this year's 7th issue of the Japanese language-only mag "Young Animal Magazine", set for release on June 5, with the series' preview story to appear in this yeear's 6th issue of the same mag, set for release on May 1.
