It's now official that the "Gundam" franchise will be having a new Anime installment to be set for debut in the upcoming winter season, although the release format is not yet specified. This time, it's "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" (or simply "Gundam Unicorn"), an adaptation of the "Gundam" novel series with the same name, which takes place in the Universal Century year 0096, three years after the events of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack". Note that this will be the second time a "Gundam" novel/novel series gets adapted into an Anime, for "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" was the first "Gundam" anime adapted from a "Gundam" novel.
