I Almost Won $500.

I was sick all day yesterday. I got send home from work, and I missed bowling night with the guys. I'm super pissed. I was supposed to go to a work function, but i couldn't go....
There were door prizes at this place, and my name was called for $500. But since I wasn't there, I don't get it.
Fucking A.
So pissed.

Forgot to Mention

I forgot to mention in my last post that as I was coming home, I went to throw my gum out the window of my car and my left hand accidentally rolled the window up on my right hand smashing my middle finger. Good start to the weekend. Lol.

I actually find it really funny how clumsy I am.

Sad Weekend.

So, my grandmother isn't doing well (Not sure if I ever talked about it to anyone here on theO). Her kidneys are failing, and one part of her heart isn't working so the other half is working overtime, but can only work at 20%. So, she's slowly dying. They brought her back home and put her into a nursing home, but the home is terrible. The nurses ignore everyone and don't really care about anything. My grandma hates it. She keeps saying she'd rather die than be there. Which, I refuse to go to a home. I'll take myself out before I have to go there, so I understand. She's just so unhappy. My mom cries every time she has to leave.
And, the place just smells like death. It's terrible.

So, we went through her apartment, taking out everything and either throwing or recycling most of it. I got to keep so much stuff. I'm getting

  • A dining table/chairs set
  • Coffee maker
  • A china cabinet thing
  • A Blender
  • Nicknacky stuff to go in China cabinet
  • Canisters
  • Dishes (that match the ones I already have!)
  • A couple bookshelves
  • A bedroom chair thing
  • A night stand
  • Other miscellaneous things

It's a good haul. Now, I just have to rearrange my apartment a little bit.

Then, my littlest brother was sick all weekend, so I spent the time I wasn't sorting and seeing my grandma taking care of him.
So, I had a busy weekend.

How was your guys' weekend?

A Pic of Me.

After a long car ride. I was happy to be done.

Brave or Stupid or Perhaps Both

"Some brave souls choose to wear their hearts on their sleeves, but I, brave or stupid or perhaps both, have chosen instead to wear mine on yours." ~Unknown

This quote hits so close to home.
In whatever I do, whomever I am with, my heart is always on my sleeve. I'm an open book. I can't lie; I can't hide anything. I chose to trust and be trusted and in turn, I am usually walked on constantly. It hurts.

But, in love, I have started wearing my heart on his/hers. Meaning, I feel what he/she feels. I know him/her inside and out. I feel so utterly content, comfortable, and happy when I'm with him/her. I'm sad and slightly miserable without him/her. I smile when I think of him/her.

And, I'm not just talking about Joe, here. I mean all of the people I really love. Like, all of my best friends. I know their hearts, and they in turn know mine.

It's quite amazing when you think about it.
