Oh my gosh you guys. Remember the guy I like, the one that's 8 years older than me? Joe?
Well, I hung out with Wednesday night when he texted me and asked if I wanted his old tv, and he invited me over to get it. And, I stayed till almost one playing rock band with them. It was really fun. As I was on my way home, he texted me and was talking about how much fun he had and that his roommate Richard liked me. So, I was like, he's a cool guy. And we talked for until close to two before I fell asleep, and I had to be at the bank at 7 to open. I was dragging. But, it was worth it.
So, last night, he invited me over again, and we played rock band again. And then for like an hour and a half Richard, Joe, and their other roommate, and I just sat and bullshitted for about a hour and a half talking about crappy managers and interesting customers. Richard was being super annoying and it was like he had to trump ever story Joe said, and so Joe didn't talk a whole lot because Richard kept talking, and I really wanted to be like stfu.
I was there to see Joe, not Richard.
But, I had a good time, and on my way home, I texted Joe and told him how much fun I had, and he was like, me, too.
Then, he proceeds to tell me that Richard wants to ask me out and that he had told Joe to put in a good word for him. I was like, wtf?
You were talking about how much fun we had and then tell me that your roommate likes me?
So, I texted back and was like, I don't like Richard. I like you. Which that was totally against my nature. I have never confessed to a guy like that. I don't talk about my feelings. Ever. And he's like, I like you, too. But, the whole employee/boss relationship sucks. Since he's my boss at the golf course, we can't date openly because it's against policy.
And then he sent me this: "I rarely am interested in knowing or learning more about people... I'm weirdly standoffish in that way... but I look forward to talking to you everyday and I don't even really know you.... just my luck I'm your boss."
I told him it was the same for me and offered to try it out and not tell any of the employees, but he's like, that never works. I never talk to the employees outside of work, and he doesn't either, so I don't think it would be so hard to do.
Then, he goes: "I stand by it never works... but considering what I want, you're amazingly compelling." What does that even mean? I don't know.
He said he's only hesitant because of our work predicament. That's the only reason.
Sigh.
SO, I don't know. He wants to keep hanging out and see where things go from there. Well, I'm gonna make him fall in love with me like he's made me do for him.
It's so weird. You know that nervousness you feel before something really big is going to happen? WEll, that's how I've felt 24/7 since Saturday when we first started talking. I don't like this feeling. I can't sleep at night, I can't eat much. My stomach is always churning, and I can't help but think about him almost 24/7. It's so bad. I've never been in love, but I'm wondering if this is it. If it is, I'm not so sure I like the feeling. I never thought I'd ever act like this towards anyone. Sure, I thought I'd fall in love, but I never thought it would affect me quite like it has.
Fingers crossed everyone! I really want this relationship to work. I like him a lot, and we've only started talking for about five or six days.
