Ok, so, group rp isn't really happening right now, so I'm wondering if there is someone who would like to cowrite a story together?
I kind of have an idea of the characters, but I don't really have a plot yet, so if you could help me out with that, that would be great.
But, I would need for you to be able to post at least once a week, preferably more.
SO, if you are interested, and I really hope someone is, let me know.
Ok, so this was the plot for a story I had started with Lapaperninja, but she's busy, and hasn't been on. I really want to work on this, so I'm hoping someone else can work on this with me. Of course, we can change things where you want to. It's just a rough draft!
The guy: His brother was killed in a drive by shooting and no one was ever apprehended. (I am hoping that my partner would do the guy! Please!)
The girl: Grew up on the other side of the tracks. Her mother and father all died when she was six. She was raised by her grandmother until she was twelve when her grandmother died. She moved and stayed with her aunt, where she was beaten by her uncle.
She grew up as a bad girl, drove a motorcycle, was in a gang, pulled pranks on people, hurt people, stole. She didn't care about anyone but herself. She had spent some time in juvenile prison, but when she was released, nothing changed.
In one confrontation, she swung back after she had had enough, but it only made him angrier. She ran out into the street, but he followed her, gun in hand, promising to kill her. In a shuffle, she got the gun away from him and shot, missing him the first time because she was so scared and hit him the second time. The first shot hit a jogger. The jogger turns out to be THE GUY's brother.
(I want the two to meet up sometime during this time, so that he kind of knows what she is like before the accident)
She runs away creating a new life for herself in Japan. (Maybe this is when she can meet up with THE GUY?)
A few days later, she gets into a car accident and loses parts of her memory, blocking the killings and all the horrible things that she had ever done. After a week, she is released from the hospital and goes on her marry way.
She decides to try to get into the local college university where she begins to attend. her whole personality changed. She's nicer, sweeter, kinder than before. Turns out THE GUY attends the college, and they meet up and begin hanging out. She doesn't remember him and brushes it off that she talks to a lot of people every day. But, THE GUY remembers her, or thinks he does.
A member of her gang is doing business in Japan and spots her walking downtown. After a phone call, it is decided that the gang needs to kill her off so she doesn't talk about the gang to the police (not knowing she lost all memory of it).
They kill off some of her close friends, but she has no idea what is going on. After a long journey with THE GUY, she slowly starts to discover her memories, and THE GUY helps her piece back her life. They both discover whom she really was and who she had killed.
OMG OMG OMG! You guys!!!!! Look, what I got in the mail today!!!!!!
I cannot contain these emotions!
Seriously, there has been so many posts, statuses, updates, tweets, whatever about so-and-so isn't able to accomplish their goals, and how life sucks for so-and-so, or so-and-so can't do this, so-and-so can't do that, blah blah blah.
A lot of the problem I see in this, when I talk to the person about it, is that they are saying, life is keeping them down, people holding them back. They are blaming everyone else for their problems.
You are your life. Take the reins and lead yourself to where you want to go. You control your own life: how you view things, how you think about things, how you affect others. That's what I mean about life. Obviously, if you are living at home, you have to listen to your parents. But really, you are going to talk about how awful your life is because you've been grounded? It's your own fault for going against your parents. Be grateful you even have a family, dang it! Do you know how many family's are without a mother, a father, a sibling?
Another thing: Your life is no better or no worse than anyone else's. You have no idea what goes on inside that home, so you can't assume that the most popular girl in school doesn't go through her share of problems. And, you can't automatically just assume that the guy who always wears black and never talks to anyone is a depressed sociopath. He could have wonderful friends and laugh at the most random times, and tell perverted jokes with his friends.
If you are going to sit there and complain about your life to everyone and anyone and make your life out to be this big, terrible thing, you are only looking for attention and pity. You are waiting for the people who comment or talk to anyone to tell you how sorry they are because you love the attention you are getting through this.
Attention seekers: Get over yourselves. Quit asking for people to comment on your stuff. People will comment on your stuff if they like it, when they want to, if they feel like it. When people tell me to comment, or they are obviously phishing for attention, I will ignore you. I'm not going to give you a handout because you can't do something with yourself.
The whole point in this? If you want to be someone that succeeds in life, then do it. Be that person. Success doesn't equal popularity. Success is whatever you define it to be. For me, success would be to graduate college and get the job I want to have. If I don't get the job I want, it will be my own fault, not the bank that didn't hire me. And, I wouldn't just give up there. I'd either make a new goal, or just keep applying.
Don't ever give up. You can get there. Believe in yourself.
That's the main thing. If you can't believe in yourself, how can you expect anyone else to?
You are worth it. Please, keep your head held high and strive to be the best you can be; I know you are capable of great things.
I hope 2012 is better than 2011 for all of you! :)
Keep being awesome and random!
Keep laughing and having fun!
Party hard, all!
