As for those of you "Star Trek" fans in North America who tuned in to see the People's Choice Awards show last night, I think we can all agree it's a moment of irony as "Star Trek" (2009) did not win any awards in the categories it was nominated for (Favorite Movie, Favorite Franchise , Favorite Breakout Movie Actor, Favorite Breakout Movie Actress) despite that it helped the "Star Trek" franchise regain its place in the U.S. and Canada mainstreams. Funny thing is the fact that the movie got beaten in categories by "Twilight Saga: New Moon" led to Roberto "Bob" Orci (co-writer of "Star Trek" (2009)) making this remark regarding planning for the 12th "Star Trek" movie: "It’s clear what the sequel
must be: Enterprise vs. Intergalactic vampires".
