The NX-01 Refit

While visiting TrekMovie.com today, I have found what appears to be a newly-created starship design intended specially for the 2011 "Star Trek: Ships Of The Line" calendar, and it's of the Enterprise NX-01, the protagonal starship of "Enterprise" (2001. Retitled "Star Trek: Enterprise" after its 2nd season), the 5th live-action "Star Trek" T.V. series. This design is labelled "NX-01 Refit" and done by "Star Trek" artists Doug Drexler and Pierre Drolet. It seems as if this look of the Enterprise NX-01 is meant to contradict the ship's appearance in "These Are The Voyages" (the last episode produced for "Enterprise" before its cancellation) as the artists who worked on it wanted to not only show "Star Trek" fans their vision of how the Enterprise NX-01 could be like if "Enterprise" was able to have a 5th season produced, but also use their new NX-01 design as a means to build a continuity gap towards "Star Trek" (1966. Better known as "Star Trek: The Original Series"), especially when "Enterprise" and "Star Trek: Original Series" each depicts a separate era of Starfleet starship/tech in the prime timeline of the main "Star Trek" univerese.

For those of you who never watched "Enterprise", it was entirely set in 2151 A.D. through 2155 A.D.(except for the last produced episode, in which William Riker in 2370 A.D., watched a recreation of Enterprise NX-01's final mission, which took place in 2161 A.D.). Plus, all episodes of this series showed the same look of NX-01.

Anyway, here's a black-and-white image of the NX-01 Refit. Enjoy, and comments are welcome.
