We found Fudge not long ago on the floor of the quarantine cage. She had stopped eating and was relying on Aya to feed her. Aya was only interested in mating, so didn't feed her too often. This meant she lost weight. We put her in the cage to get her eating by herself again, but she wasn't getting it. She just kept eating nothing but sand and the odd bit of seed, but nothing big.
After watching a movie together, Lee went into the room and found her on the floor. Her left wing was out a little and her feet were scrunched up tightly. It was the exact same way I found my old budgie BUsta back in 2006 when his heart gave out.
RIP Fudge. Too soon for a sweet little thing like you.
