Video Game Music & Original Fiction

There’s nothing more fun than finally getting your hands on the music to one of your all time favorite games. ^_^ In this case the soundtrack to Illusion of Gaia. An older rpg game for the SNES, something that I still have and on occasion pull it out to play. Even though I loved video games, I never really got totally into them until I ran into rpg games. The standard arcade fair just weren’t my thing really. It was those sweeping grand adventures that always sucked me in the most.

I really like this one a lot since even though it was made back in 1993; it still has really fun music for an older game. :p I’ve wanted to get it for a long time, but finding something like this hasn’t been easy, I’ve looked around with no luck. So now I finally have it! Hurray! It’s great how many of the melodies for different cities and such are more than some short little clips that repeat itself. Some of them are a full three to four minutes long. o_O Not that I’m going to complain. Heh.

Now I talked about my original sci-fi story Silver One in my last post and though I do intend to work on it, the actual story is rather long so that’s going to take a while. But in the mean time I decided to pull out my shorter story “The End of the Beginning” and clean it up for submission first. I intend to ask one of the beta writers here at theOtaku to take a look since I know my grammar has issues. *looks at timechaser*

I’ve been going through that today, clearing out the obvious mistakes... Well at least the ones I can spot. >_> I really am bad at that. Not to put myself down, but to recognize that I have a lot to learn when it comes to the English language. It’s never been an issue since in all honesty; I haven’t needed to know more. But now that I want to do more with the story ideas I have, I think it’s kind of necessary. It’s one thing to ask someone to check a story for you and yet another to be too lazy to work on improving and fixing the mistakes you do recognize.
