Days of our Guild Wars

... Like sands through the hourglass ... SMACKED

Okay, okay, to the point. Well not quite to the point, a tidbit before the main show if you will. You see we're still getting the crazy winter weather. We got about two inches of snow Monday night and though that, along with the stuff from Sunday, has melted... it is snowing again. I'm only glad that it seems to be no more than a light dusting that will most likely melt before noon.

ANYWAY, TIME FOR THE MAIN EVENT.

Ahem. To put it out there, someone attempted to hit on me while I was play Guild Wars last night. The pick up line?... "I hear Rare (the name of the guild I'm in) is popular. ._. No joke. At first I wasn't sure if they really were hitting on me until they started going all mystical and attempting to share the concept that our minds create everything. They were literally trying to go on and on about how fascinating life was and how you had to take time to enjoy it, etc.

Then it moved into music tastes, science and just general questions like they were checking me out. The standard, are you a girl, where are you from, etc. I still wasn't totally sure until they make a few comments about how I was so nice to talk to and such. The way they worded it made it clear that they probably spend most of their time meeting people via that game. And just as I thought that, they openly admitted that they loved finding people to chat with on the game.

I was trying not to laugh to be honest. Guild Wars to me is a game, not a social place to hang out and pick up dates. If I really wanted that kind of service, I wouldn't get it from a MMO! So when Des got online and mentioned a quest for the day, I joined him. Which is one of the main goals in the game. You team up with fellow players and complete quests and missions. It's incredibly fun and one of the reasons I really enjoy the game.

Now here's the part where I just about died laughing. Not only did this person get 'miffed' that I was taking off instead of hanging around to chat with them, they sent off a jab about how I had 'seemed like a nice girl' and promptly put me on ignore. Oh my lord... when I realized they really had done that... I lost it and giggled.

I've had boyfriends like that in the past, the kind who monopolize your time and get offended if you wander off to do something that doesn't involve talking to them. It only took a few times before I learned to avoid that. There's nothing more irritating or immature than someone who not only gets miffed when you do other things, but then has the gall to imply you're a bad person for doing so.

Anyway, the other soap opera stuff was all the people whining, complaining and moaning like babies anytime their team lost in a Player vs Player battle. I normally avoid that since I don't care for PvP. But one of the titles I was earning required doing them so I could map the area. It didn't take long but boy were some of those people whinny little babies. lol
