I wasn’t going to bother with this meme but then I decided to give it a shot.
1- I hate thunderstorms even though I think lightening is pretty. It has always terrified me since I was a small child. At least the fear is manageable now that I’m an adult.
2- I prefer to sleep in total darkness. I hate how electronics have all sorts of little lights that are still on even when the item is supposed to be turned off. When I sleep I want my utter darkness! I have heavy curtains on my windows to help with that and I’ll put a small hand towel over my eyes to help cut out any light.
3- I love to swim. Apparently from the moment I could walk, if I was near a pool I would run and just jump in. After giving my mom a heart attack she immediately arranged for me to have swimming lessons. :p
4- I love socks. I don’t run around barefoot, I wear socks.
5- I hate being cold. It started when I turned 16. Found out a few years later that I had arthritis. I don’t mind being too warm but being too cold hurts so I loathe it.
6- I took singing lessons when I was in college.
7- I love blankets. I have to make myself not buy more of them. I have at least ten that I’ve gotten over the years and many more that I’ve made. Who am I kidding? I have over twenty of them. >_>
8- I like doing ceramics. I took classes with Mariskah at one of the local craft stores in this area. I should do that again. ^^
9- I’m allergic to a lot of air pollutants. It’s one of the reasons I won’t tolerate smoking. I’m also allergic to milk. Cats are on that list too but fortunately that’s a very mild one and rarely gives me trouble.
10- Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the fall colors. Windy days are the best with how they send fallen leaves everywhere. It’s like they’re happy to finally be off the trees and are dancing about. I can sit for hours just watching and listening to the sound of the leaves dancing.
11- I love Yellowstone National Park. I’ve been there many, many times. I need to go again.
12- I used to bite my nails when I was a kid. I hate long nails and if I don’t have clippers on hand I’ll catch myself starting to bite them again.
12- I took violin, piano and organ lessons when I was kid. I don’t really recall enough to play much but I still have a love of various types of music. I’m not happy with just one kind. I need classical, rock, hard rock, movie soundtracks, etc. I am not a huge fan of rap or country though.
13- I still remember seeing Star Wars when it came out in the theaters when I was six and a half years old.
14- I grew up on a mix of western reruns and sci-fi shows like Battle Star Galactic, Star Trek (with Kick not Picard), Buck Rogers, Dr. Who… Growing up to realize I’d never get to travel in space was quite the let down. I still love science fiction though.
15- I’m a lone hiccup person. That’s right, when I get the hiccups only one comes out. ._. I never know it’s going to happen so I’ll be talking to someone and will suddenly go ‘hic’ in the middle of a sentence. Sometimes I’ll get the regular hiccups but not very often and they are easy to get rid of.
16- Volcanoes are beautiful. One of these days I want to go to Hawaii just so I can visit the national park there. I really want to see a live volcano.
17- I’ve been on a hot air balloon ride. I want to do that again.
18- I want to go skydiving at least once. Don’t know when or if it will happen, but I want to do it.
19- I love to fly. I don’t do so very often but when I do I always pick a window seat.
20- I can drive a semi truck. It terrified me at first but I was determined to do it. I kind of miss it but I have to admit I prefer being stationary for the social aspect.
21- Rollercoaster’s are awesome. I love the ones that take you through upside down loops or backwards or drop you from a height that has you going 80 mph to get to the bottom. First time I discovered the ones that take you through loops; my brother and I went on it again and again. God that was fun. XD
22- I lived in Dallas, TX at one point. When I get excited I’ve been told that I have a slight southern accent. O_o I’m sure you real southern people would laugh.
23- Apparently I had my first fight when I was less than a year old. I would crawl on the floor and my older brother would crawl so he was over me. After a while it seems I turned around, sat down and then literally smacked him in the face. o_O My mom says he didn’t cry but merely looked surprised and then left me alone.
24- I have blonde hair and blue eyes. Now that I’m older instead of going gray I’m getting dark reddish brown hairs mixed in with the blonde. So far I like the effect.
25- I’m terribly self conscious of my writing skills or lack of. I try to counter it by forcing myself to do things anyway. I really should learn more about grammar and work on improving my spelling.
26- I’ve been to all five national parks in Utah more than once. One of these days I should share pictures with you guys.
27- I’m going to be forty this year. It’s odd because I don’t feel like I’m that old. XD
