Before I get to my idea... Now that I have the FAQ for the site on my account I find I have to be really careful anytime I post. It's the default world when I go to post so the last thing I want to do is post personal stuff in the FAQ by accident. XD
ANYWAY...
This is unrelated to my previous post about upcoming events, just so you all know. This post is about the type of reward I was thinking of offering for someone winning a contest I host. You see I'm a community scanner over at AnimePaper so I have lots and lots of papers.
So I can pretty much log in and get any scan I want. So I was wondering if people would actually like a prize where if you win, you go over there and pick out two scans you like and I get it for you.
I know some of you have your own account over there but I'm sure there must be some people who don't. So, is that something that would appeal to people?
EDIT: Okay, based on SakuraDust's comment about the reward I'm updating this to explain that actual paper cost wouldn't matter and that I am more than willing to consider upwards of 10 scans for the winner.
Though now that she mentioned a higher reward perhaps you all would like to see two winners with each one getting five scans each.
Thoughts?
EDIT2: Okay, Allamorph had an even better idea. 10 scans for first place, 5 scans for second and 2 for third place. Since I have plenty of papers I can use I'm leaning towards this idea.
EDIT3: Thanks to MFran I'm now aware that AnimePaper also has a badge system where you can give papers to others members there via a badge. I went and checked out the increments in which you can award them and I see that I could do the following.
1st 500 papers
2nd 250 papers
3rd 100 papers
Then the winners could simply go and pick whatever they want. You'd have to be a member there but unless they've changed it signing up is free. Thoughts?
